About VNLAAwesome work with us
VNLA is a premium vanilla company rooted in the equatorial landscapes of São Tomé & Príncipe, producing high-quality, organic vanilla through a fully integrated, transparent farm-to-market model. Operating in close collaboration with local farmers, cooperatives, and transformation facilities, VNLA brings to market vanilla that reflects both origin and excellence.
Positioned at the heart of the equator, São Tomé & Príncipe offers one of the world’s most ideal environments for vanilla cultivation. Rich volcanic soils, consistent humidity, and stable tropical temperatures create optimal conditions for slow, aromatic vanilla development — resulting in beans with exceptional fragrance, depth, and vanillin content

Our RegionsSeven Royal Regions
São Tomé & Príncipe is one of the closest countries to the center of the Earth, located directly on the equator. This unique geography provides VNLA’s vanilla with a naturally balanced growing environment where orchids thrive without artificial intervention.
VNLA operates across seven distinct regions, each offering its own microclimate and flavor expression:
- LOBATA: Humid coastal area with intense sunlight.
- CANTAGALO: Mountainous terrain with cooler microclimates, slow maturation.
- CAUE: Valley areas with fertile soils, balanced microclimate.
- AGUA GRANDE: Lower-altitude regions with intense sunlight.
- ME-ZOCHI: Central highlands with cooler, foggy conditions.
- LEMBA: Forested areas, high humidity, slow but consistent growth.
- PAGUE: Coastal plains with excellent drainage and rainfall.
These regions collectively shape VNLA’s nuanced vanilla profiles, allowing clients to experience vanilla by origin rather than uniformity

Processing & Transformation
Applies a carefully controlled curing and maturation process that enhances aroma, flavor, and vanillin content while preserving the integrity of origin. Green vanilla is transformed over several months through precise management of time, temperature, and humidity, allowing each bean to develop naturally and consistently.
Vanilla from each region is processed separately to retain its unique profile, ensuring traceability, clarity of flavor, and a refined final product that reflects the terroir of São Tomé & Príncipe.
